If you've been waiting for a Mazda 6 diesel, prepare to wait a bit longer. After delaying the US launch until Spring 2014, Mazda now says it won't meet that target date either. Aston Martin have embarked on a tour of its UK dealers with the new Vanquish to show its latest supercar to both dealers and customers. The new Aston Martin Vanquish – successor to the DBS and first shown at Villa D’Este earlier this years as the AM 310 – was revealed back in June. But with a public debut at the Paris Motor Show in just a few week’s time, Aston Martin has been ramping up the PR for the new Vanquish with new photos and new video in the last week, and now they’re off to show the Vanquish to dealers and the Aston Martin faithful alike.

The reveal of the new Ford Escape ahead of the Los Angeles Auto Show this week may not have the Kuga badge on its boot, but it is – bar a few tweaks and engine changes – just what we’ll see in Europe as the 2012 Ford Kuga. Based on the European-designed Ford Vertrek concept, the Ford Escape replaces the old-fashioned North American escape with a very European take on a compact SUV, but one that benefits from much more room to accommodate average Americans. The Ford Kuga / Escape is the next instalment in Ford’s plan to unify its models around the world.
